They are useful also if tank is a bit wet or damp. Just better grip provided. For the price though ...

I'm looking at these aswell, for function and as an extra bit of protection on the tank. Will other model bikes stomp grips fit? After only having a quick look can find various models at about £20 a set but can't find any for the SV for anything less than £40. The glossy black ones are a good match for my bike and blend in well too.
