Hi & Welcome. Yeah as Jayne says have a look in S&W for rideouts. I'm about most weekends up and around the beacons, although we did a rideout to Saundersfoot two weeks ago which was lovely.

There's actually a lot going on in Wales but not necessarily on this forum. So if you're looking to meet some fellow bikers and SV owners on the weekend give us a shout.

Might be a bit late notice for you but there will be a long ride to North Wales on Sunday with about 40 - 50 bikes of all shapes and sizes so you're welcome to come along if you wanto to really stretch your SV's legs.

Yeah I won't be making a habit of that.

Thanks I'll bear it in mind and sounds good. Used to drive up to the EVO triangle regularly at one point and wouldn't mind trying the roads round Snowdon, Llanberis and the Horseshoe at some point on a bike.

Quite a few have said the same thing about meets and ride outs but as my uncle suggested it's best to learn on my own for now as there's no worse feeling than being egged on to do things you aren't comfortable with. So until I get more confident I'll ride on my own for a bit. There's still lots I need to learn and I wouldn't want to be left behind or holding others up. It's an almost frustrating feeling being a novice when I've got almost 7 years of driving experience but also the same excitement I got when I passed my driving test. It will come eventually.

Oh and the last owner was in his 40's so make of that what you will

I am also guessing you're a Star Trek fan?

Let me say Croeso from the small welsh contingent there is on here and hopefully, I'll be back in God's country soon enough and be out on the SW&S ride-outs, if only to annoy TON

Id deffo agree with learning at your own pace, even if people dont put pressure on you, its easy to still have the urge to prat about.

Thanks guys for the welcome. Just a case of finding time to ride. I also cycle to keep fit and weather has been awful so far this year so haven't had much chance. When a dry day comes it will be a hard choice to decide what bike to take. Just need to keep telling myself that the lighter I am the better both bikes will be.
