Thanks lads for the input. Turns out it was the starter motor, saw the old one and a chunk had come away from the rotor. Hence her trying to start every now and again, the chunk moved about!! Mechanic fitted a secondhand one and sorted a few other things on her (including the upgrade to gear peg) for 170 euro... shrug of shoulders!!
All in all she seems a much happier camper!! Below are pics, I fitted the tail tidy, Powerbronze belly pan and mudguard extension myself. Was gonna change indicators but will probably leave her alone for a while  Glad to have her back!
