You could sell your bike and put the extra money towards Nobbylads bike?
Gixxer front end and a Penske shock I believe.

if i come to sell the bike purely for wanting a gsxr front end i'd just buy one i think but trying to keep costs down as i dont want to blow the lot

You can do the front end swap and break even if you scout around eBay for bits (especially during winter). The SV front end bits are always in demand as a) it's a prime candidate for 1st bike droppage syndrome and b) there's a healthy mini twin series.

From memory you should be able to acquire the bits you need for around £450-£600 and make back most, if not all of that. I'm sure others have their own opinions and a lot of it comes down to how long you're prepared to wait, how much you want to do yourself (it's a good way to learn about stuff - there's loads of threads on how to do it) and if you can really be ar$ed.

You could always chuck your inheritance money at a sub £1k track bike and keep the SV for rattling around on the road and the track bike for scratching around the track. At least if you bin it, you can stay mobile on the SV.
