yup baffles are like that, just somethging to stop the gas exiting so fast i guess. mine was shaped like this on old bike (beware shoddily drawn baffle and ignore the dots):

Ive been riding with the baffle removed from my Scorpion, sounds great but have noticed a missfire, going to put it back in as it wasn`t there prior to it being removed.

I'm going to remove it and have a listen once it's running again :P mine was backfiring before it broke down anyway haha i do like the little crackle and pop that you get when you let off the power with a decent exhaust, but that's just me :P
