Have you got a meter to test the coil you have?
I'd rule it out before replacing. I dunno, a tenner? |

The HT leads on my '00 650 just screw into the coils. I replaced them with generic auto leads, cut to length. Pretty cheap.
My problem was with the front cylinder, the HT lead was broken, but just the wire, not the insulation. It gave me an intermittent fault- sometimes it made the front plug spark, sometimes it didn't. |
