Just found the price it's 10.5k which is about the same as the old one. Pretty expensive though when compared to the cbr 600f and it's only a grand less than a fireblade

but....if you are looking to get something similar to VFR - you would not even look at 600 or Fireblade - so potential customers are unlikely to compare the prices (I wouldn't)

MCN went big on the new 800 a couple of weeks back.

Aside from a few minor niggles, they really rated it and the author said he was going to buy one.

I was looking at the VFR 800 VTEC moving up from my SV, but think I have moved more towards the Triumph Sprint ST 1050 !

I'm not saying it's the same sort of bike, I'm just saying that compared to those bikes it doesn't look very good value for money.

If you want to compare it to similar bikes it's still expensive, the GSX1250F is under 8k and the z1000sx is a grand cheaper. That's RRP, I was offered a new Z1000sx for £8k last month (albeit the old model)

Honda will probably want an extra grand for luggage as well.

I like the new one and the old one is a Honda going mad classic! The motor is good enough to be raced and has addictive rc30 howl.

The vfr1200 is a product of the DN01 period, it's not a tourer like a FJR, K or R series BMW or even the pan European (the police forces of Europe are testament to what the spec of a touring bike should be). There is loads of reasons why it's flawed starting with a fuel tank smaller than a fireblades!

Default 2014 Honda vfr800f

Who needs fuel when you have a car engine in a bike? Pah!

A friend of mine has a 1200 and gets 120 miles to a tank if he's lucky.

Comparing to GSX1250F and Z1000SX makes definitely more sense

Not that it matters, but VFR just got really good review in latest Bike.

I like it more and more...
