I do want to tart a bit, they might look 'worn' but really it's just dirt. It's just an idea anyway! I'm assuming they won't just slide into the existing handlebar triple clamp top of the tree up there by the clocks bit?

no they wont just slide up the clamps. completely different sized top and bottom yokes.

if i was to do my 650 again i would more than likley go down the gsxr600 or SV1000 RWU and a revalve route having now felt the difference decent valving makes.

Bunch of whingin fanny's ye are. Only a bit of muck.

It's the rust spots on the chrome you want to be looking at. Always a risk when buying unseen.

well after all your threads you obviously want to throw money (imho unnecessarily ) at this thou so why don't you do it properly
get a KTM superduke front end complete and get the centre stantion swapped with your sv thou original ( simple repress) the speedo runs of the gears in a thou so no issue there, and you'll get WP forks and mental brakes
im sure one of the WP rear shocks will fit the thou too

I don't think there's any harm in spending a bit of cash in your steed, especially if you have the money laying around.

Anyway, I'm just looking at options - no harm in asking

Is there a list of bike compatible parts for the SV? I did a search but not much came up, will wheels from Gixxer k1-k4 fit?

No no, wasn't being snidy...just replying with honesty

So I'm assuming a gixer 1000 k1-k4 front/rear wheel combo won't fit? My mate's got some spare I was thinking of putting alternate tyres on for some random track days
