surely if the profile is 12mm taller, that's 12mm more height off the ground?

120/70, better rubber choice, adds a bit suspension, was smoother going around bumby(ish) slow speed corners, drops quicker into corners. I will never go back to 60 profile.

haha.. yes your right i was thinking of circles which makes the whole tyre 24mm bigger than 60 profile. the larger profile will make for better stability at speed in straight lines and less twitchy on corners at the expense of more weight and slower turn in. tbh most folk wont tell the difference between a 60 or a 70 profile at normal speeds.

I had one fitted and it would OCCASIONALLY catch on the little clip that pushes through the mudguard & secures the speedo cable.

Nothing major, just annoyed me because it would make a flicky / ping noise every now & again.

I used to prefer the 70 profile tyre. I like how it made the bike drop into turns more easily. However, you do end up using less of the front tread. On higher lean angles you can start to feel the front end drift.

I went back to a 60 profile front now but I'm now running michelin pilot powers, a lot more of a triangular/taller profile rear tyre than the contis I've been using and I'm definitley happier.

Just my two cents.

I have just started to find the 70 feels great till you really pick up the pace then front end starts to push wide on the exit, as said above you have to correct the tyre height by raising the forks through or raise the rear to compensate, I have dropped the front 10mm and raised the back 4mm which seems to have worked.

Or just get a Gixxer front end.
