However, I would still like to urge you to save up and invest in some leather as fast as you can. I mean, if you've made a concious choice not to buy, then I respect that. However, if you intend to get full leathers at some point but think jeans are ok for the time being... well from what I've seen, they arent ![]() Ride safe ![]() |

The later surfaces in the video are just normal asphalt. |

Hi nice video.
It looks like the CBR1000RR is hardly above jogging pace at 136mph; did you have much left in the tank from the SV? |

The SV had a full tank of gas at that point. I could have squeezed maybe another 3-5 mph out of it, but it was pretty close to being completely topped out. |

ah you can't beat a little bit of Van Halen!!!
Always wanted to go to that of American as well, just to see Lambeau Field and a certain Brett Favre and the Packers playing!!! Just have to put up with them on the video tomorrow!!!

HI,
I don't want to flame (or cause offence as I haven't been here for that long anyway ![]() But... With regards to biking in leathers, the idea that it only affects you is just not correct. Some poor soul has to find you in the road, or witness you hitting the deck. The police / fire / ambulance crews have to come and clear up the mess. Some poor copper then has to explain to your family why you are not home. You family has to hear this. The hospitals have to (hopefully) stich you back together. There are many people involved in the chain. Not just the one who comes off the bike. Also, how much did you spend on the bike? How much would it have cost to get one a few years older? You'd probably save enough to get a decent set of leathers. This is what I did when I passed my test, and I had to live with my '93 GPZ for a number of years before I had the cash to get the SVS I have now. Any way that's all. Just do us all a favour, make sure you don't put yourself in a situation that requires the above chain of events. I've read too many sad posts since joining this forum, and don't want to read any more. Ride safe everyone, Stu |
