oh yeah, it's around 57 megs so it may take a while.
Couldn't enjoy as the file seems to have disappeared.
It'll be back up in 30 minutes from now.
Thanks! Hope it is still there tomorrow: I don't have broadband at
home so I can download video files only at work.

I dunno about flames, but I do think that you're insane. Of course, you not wearing proper gear doesn't endanger anybody else and so long as you're aware of the risks it's, very literally, your skin.
Well, the way I see it, not wearing gear does affect others, but indirectly through insurance. When medical expenses come up, not only will my insurance increase a lot, but also the insurance rates of many others will increase some as well.

To the people that didn't see the video, I am wearing a riding jacket (with CE Armor in the shoulders, elbos, and back), helmet, gloves, heavy jeans, and boots that cover the ankles.
I certainly wouldnt flame you for not wearing full leathers, it is your choice insurance or not.

However, I would still like to urge you to save up and invest in some leather as fast as you can.

I mean, if you've made a concious choice not to buy, then I respect that. However, if you intend to get full leathers at some point but think jeans are ok for the time being... well from what I've seen, they arent

Ride safe

Some of those roads look interesting, what are the road surfaces like?

Lee
The road surfaces kind of suck. Earlier in the year, the powers-at-be decided to resurface the roads. They pour oil all over the road and then dump pea gravel over the oil. The oil solidifies and supposedly will hold the gravel after it has been compressed into the road surface by a roller and under the local traffic's tires.

The later surfaces in the video are just normal asphalt.

Hi nice video.

It looks like the CBR1000RR is hardly above jogging pace at 136mph; did you have much left in the tank from the SV?

I rode a ZX-10R the other day. If the CBR1000RR is anywhere near comparable, it has PLENTY of steam left in it above 136 mph. Those liter bikes are wicked fast.

The SV had a full tank of gas at that point. I could have squeezed maybe another 3-5 mph out of it, but it was pretty close to being completely topped out.

Just have to put up with them on the video tomorrow!!!

HI,

I don't want to flame (or cause offence as I haven't been here for that long anyway )

But...

With regards to biking in leathers, the idea that it only affects you is just not correct. Some poor soul has to find you in the road, or witness you hitting the deck. The police / fire / ambulance crews have to come and clear up the mess. Some poor copper then has to explain to your family why you are not home. You family has to hear this. The hospitals have to (hopefully) stich you back together. There are many people involved in the chain. Not just the one who comes off the bike.

Also, how much did you spend on the bike? How much would it have cost to get one a few years older? You'd probably save enough to get a decent set of leathers. This is what I did when I passed my test, and I had to live with my '93 GPZ for a number of years before I had the cash to get the SVS I have now.

Any way that's all. Just do us all a favour, make sure you don't put yourself in a situation that requires the above chain of events. I've read too many sad posts since joining this forum, and don't want to read any more.

Ride safe everyone,

Stu
