Camchain tensioners on a 4k bike? If there's a problem there, get it back to the dealer pronto as they're theoretically self-adjusting.
7500 mile service is a change of plugs and oil (not even a filter change). I wouldn't worry about the plugs (seriously) and just change the oil - so that's approx £10? . |

about £140 Dealer Price
About £100 Local non dealer bloke I know not everyone wants to do their own servicing. I paid £100 and got Dyno done @ same time £120 all in. Turns out bike is running a little rich rather than lean ![]() (shows how much i know about stuff) 73 BHP incase you were intrested.

I know some guys here in Trowbridge who say that they would charge half of what Fowlers charges. Can give you the coordinates of this garage if you wish. But I personally wouldn't risk servicing my bike with them: they look like pirates. On the other hand, my neighbour services his GSX1400 with them and nothing bad has happened to his bike yet. I bet there are similar seedy garages in Bristol that would be prepared to service on the cheap. |

One of the reasons the "pirate" garage I mentioned is cheaper is because they use non-Suzuki filters. |

I bought the bike in Bristol... so thats the main reason Im asking about Fowlers.. other than that, I might take it to Swansea.. just thought that taking it to Fowlers, I could make a day out of it.. as I had to bloody well stay there nearly all day when I took it for its 1st service!!
I'll get all the major stuff done properly.. but I REALLY dont want to pay mega bucks for something stupidly simple like change the oil! and checking the air filter... Ahh well, can start saving for next service now ![]() |
