Not a terribly good indicator, since blue exists in K3 and K4
True, but K3's had 'Suzuki' on the tank & K4's have 'S' on the tank... So you get where I'm coming from

The bike is well and truly smashed. He came off at 70 having tried to brake in the bend and ran straight on. The air ambulance was called. Horrible to see him lying on the bed in a neck brace. His 2 piece leathers worked well but are trashed. His RHS knee slider shattered into 3 pieces. His lip took a hell of a bank but again saved him. The Sidi vertibras were also ruined. He walked away on crutches with a swollen ankle and a graze on the right thunb where the gloves wore through. Can't say enough about wearing the right gear.

The bike is a K4 I think as its Yellow, has S on the tank. List of wanted bits are posted but don't include yolks which don't quite line up but I think the forks are true. Pics of whats left included.

K

If the yokes are out then chances are the forks will be also. Any big frontal impact is quite likely to bend the discs also.

Maidstone Motoliner are your friends and can straighten most bike bits. You can get them on 01622 - 790 705 or drop in at Mill Hall Business Estate, Aylesford, Kent, ME20 7JN.

Do a search on suzuki vin numbers.

Every vin number has 17 digits. one of these gives the build date, colour code, model and where it was built and which market.

My bike is a k2 registered in 03 but is blue. I needed a new upper fairing and found one in the right colour, but the decals were slightly different. The Vin told me this, later
