it seems then it itsnt set in stone. You pay to cover the OTR charges when you buy a new bike but it does seem to be that this doesnt mean the 1st service..

Oh well...it would then seem that general curtiosy has gone out of the window with some dealers too!!

However, I've been taking my SV to George White in Slough, Superb after care, can't fault them.

I know you're a fair few miles from South Wales, so I can be safe in the knowledge you're not taking it to "Ken the Roberts Motorcycles" in Newport - STAY CLEAR!

But yep- it may be out of your way , but George White' seemed to be very good!

Mines a K4 with now 18k on her

Mass, if you are in Newport i can recommend:

REPS Motorcycles
Unit 4 Ifton Ind Pk Caldicot Rd
Rogiet
Gwent
NP26 3TF
Tel: 01291 422226

I used to take my Yamaha there, when i picked it up after its first service there I actually pulled over and stood looking at the bike for something 'wrong', it turned out there was nothing wrong it was all set up, adjusted and tweaked so well it just felt like a totally different bike for the first few miles!

Get the service done at the dealer you bought it from (for the first one,) otherwise you'll end up paying labour on the bill (this should be thrown in for the first service ) Your bill should only be about £27 (& not £70 that I was charged by my local 'rip-off' merchant Suzuki dealer (I bought my bike daaaan saaaafffff))

Afternoon all.
West London Suzuki ......As I used to be just a mile or two from them, I know 'em well!! I can only suggest that, if you use them you check your bike carefully after getting it back.(loose sump plugs wheel spindles etc) Unless ofcourse they've had a total change of staff since last Christmas!!

Cheers

My Dealer ( Daytona ) charged me around 50 for 1st and 220 for 2nd .

Try Rob at Berrington Smith Motorcycles 0208 567 8432 - He's in Hanwell W7 3TR but close enough to you on the A406 , and worth every penny - did my 2nd service for £120 , cheap and I also felt like he actually did something to the bike :P
