Glad it was a non-injury spill!

Looks MUCH better with the tail tidy, just need to get the seat cowl on & the grab rail off.

Cheers. Took a bit of a thump to the shoulder, and did hit my head...in a 2 day old Astro R! Was gutted - possibly £400 down the drain. Thanks, Arai, for your policy of checking helmets out - it's been back to them and got a clean bill of health! \/

Seat cowl went on today! As did the CCC can. Man, taking a hacksaw to your bike is scary! Haven't taken the baffle out yet, but it's sounding good.

They're the official Suzuki ones. Decided that the colour match outweighed the expense as they were included in the 0% deal.

My CCC one doesn't look that special being the plain stainless oval, but at £100 (I had a Paypal voucher which saved a tenner) I'm not complaining. \/

Not at all! Most enterprising! Or was it a case of work avoidance

Quite some going! Do people now ask you to ride at the back of the group?!

So did you replace them after your crashes? Because the bolt holding the bung had bent, I decided to replace it just in case it was at all fatigued. £20-something for the bold and bung versus the chance of crashing and it breaking? No-brainer to me!

Er, that wasn't counting the crash with the cheapo Ebay bungs, or the crash with the awful, awful Motrax DHMS They don't need to ask me to ride at the back, I just seem to gravitate that way...

I replaced the rubbers after each drop- well, after the big one the bung was about half its original size, after all- and I found when I finally removed them (to fit the newer versions that work with lowers) that there was a slight bend in the bolt. I'd never noticed it till I removed it, so it was probably a little weakene... But by and large, later R&Gs fail at the join of the cup and rubber rather than at the base, it seems. The new ones seem stronger still, but uglier.

Official ones...colour matched...yes they are rather expensive...adds to the looks rather than subtracts...included in the 0%finance deal...how so?

Question...doesn't add-ons invalidate the Suzuki 2 year warranty?

Answer...

It was just part of the deal. Any official Suzuki accessories could be added to the total purchase price, and therefore be at 0%. Official Suzuki parts fitted by the dealer won't have any warranty implications.

Considering I knocked 'em down to £3995 for the bike, I didn't mind adding on the extras!
