Yeah a great parts guy that delievered stuff to your door, and advised on everything your bike needs and your wallet doesn't. I hear he's working with four wheelers now?

For servicing - it's great news if you get Steve himself working on your bike. I also think it is a bit rich charging for the use of a loan bike, esp when the bandit is totally on its last legs and IMHO of dubious roadworthiness.

just thought I'd add a bit of balance here nothing personal!
Cough...isnt Kevin Swantz's ex head mechanic no good for your bike then?

and BTW the loan bikes are FOC as long as they come back with the petrol they went out with!!

and btw i like crawling but prefer standing thanks

well maybe schwantz was happy with poorly executed work! i had to bring the bike back for steve to finish......!!

and i got charged a fiver for the bandit - i had to put fuel in it at the garage down the road from you when i picked it up!

well that was my experience, perhaps it was just not a good day.

did it get sorted?. I presume so!. What exactly didnt get finished?.

All bikes either go out without fuel (like in your case) or with a fullish tank. Surely you cant expect to get the cost of the fuel FOC?? Most people are delighted at the fact they get a bike to get home on and not have to rely on a lift home! Our parts guys gets a company bike..if the fuel wasnt replaced it would be him out of pocket too!.

But since then we have decided the loan bikes are FOC. Although this does cost us alot and even though we thought £5 for the use of a bike (whether its an old bike is irelevant - it works!) to get home or to work was pretty good !.

Trouble is...even the best have a moment...its how its dealt with thats important. And sometimes you just cant please!

Tell you what Will, you wanna consider yourself lucky you were given a loan bike, never mind the fact there was no fuel in it...

I haven't even been offered a loan bike or anything else for that matter... My 6 month old KTM is still sat in the dealership after 2 months, with nothing being offered

Did you know that those devil's at KTM almost ruined the reputation of the 749/999 Ducati's when launched? Yep they produced the oil collers which were subject to a major recall! (Sorry Cloggsy! )

yes, got sorted after the 2nd visit. steve did a great job, very friendly and effiecient.

re the loan bike - i had to pay for fuel AND the hire. we're not talking a lot of money here, just the principal.

anyway, seems you have a good fan base so one "mixed" review ain't too bad really is it?

Very true. The sad reality is that there are too many companies out there who refuse to acknowledge their mistakes let alone correct them. Comanies who value customer service and pull out all stops to rectify their mistakes should be commended.
