I've got the clutch cover off and all looks ok around there.

Haven't properly got the water pump off yet, but doesn't look like it came from there.

Just pull your valve covers off before going any farther. There are two freeze plugs in each cyl. head as stated in the last thread. That is your most likely cause of that much coolant in the oil that rapidly, especially in two bikes without coolant.

You can put the plugs back in with green loctite, but you may have to pull the covers off the sides of the engine to find the plugs if they in fact are popped. They tend to fall down the cam chain area on either side of the engine.

Cheers, exactly the problem.

Anyone know where the last thread about it is?
Did search a fair bit, but couldn't find 'owt.

yes this happened to my old K3 race bike. Easy to fix and next time store over winter with anti freeze in the bike.

Why don't racers use anti-freeze?

Cos it's slippery and a bugger to clean off the track.
They user water wetter or something similar to keep the anti-corrosion properties.

So it does'nt get spilt on the track in crashes.I don't know if it's harder to clean up than oil.

Fair enough. Does anything get used at all or do you just keep changing the coolant between races to prevent corrosion?
