Its the adrenalin cutting in casing you to start wheeling and spinning the rear up

Could be a tyre issue...Only when they are warm do they move about. What you got on there?

I suppose it could possibly be the shock... If it's marginal, then the heat from riding could cause it to go off enough to cause handling problems. But that doesn't seem especially likely tbh.

I'm too much of a numpty to offer any kind of technical advice...

... but from working in a dealership I can tell you this - INSIST THEY TEST RIDE THE BIKE.

Preferably for about a 45 minute run.

The reason being is that is it incredibly hard to track down an intermittant or variable problem with the bike on the bench - this occurs when you are riding, or have ridden for about 20 minutes - therefore they HAVE to ride the bike to be able to get first hand knowledge of the fault.

If they don't, how can they possibly know exactly what's going on from just your description, it's secondhand knowledge - and forgive me, not a technical experts knowledge at that.

Regardless of how much you trust a garage, get them to ride the bike a suffer what you do before accepting any solutions/bills etc.

Hi Guys

The tyres are the standard dunlops. My brother is going to take the bike to the garage today as i got back too late last night so i'll wait and hear. I'd be suprised if anything has worn out (bearing etc) as it's only 3k miles. I did find that the chain was too loose and tightened that but i can't see it affecting the geometry of the bike. Watch this space i guess and hopefully all will be revealed. Best it's nothing serious as i need it for an IAM ride on Sunday. I think its still under warranty???

Hi Guys

Bike went into the garage and they found that the handlebars were slightly out of alignment. That's quite worrying as the bike was checked out fine after my off and it also means that i was riding around for about 4 months now with it in that condition. Couldn't feel it though! Still all sorted now apparantly. One thing it did do is made me more concious of the movement of the bike and i noticed how much the SV gets blown around in the wind!
