I too have the same problem. Mine was performing the same way I thought it was the oil so I changed it out and I put 3 quarts in (sorry for units) and now it won't start it turns though. I think the reason it was running weird was because it got water in the front spark plug. but it still isn't running any suggestions?

after my 600mile oil change i went back to my dealer and said it had'nt got enuf oil in, they told me they run the sv's slightly below half on the sight glass.

so if my oil is full when i hold it up does that mean that i should take some out? but it would still start right?

so no pointers on why it isn't startin up? the bike has started right before I did the change so the only thing is that it isn't enough or too much

if everything wont start...ie lights too then its electrical!

bike upright! check oil level is in tolerance! if noy empty some out!
take plugs out and give it a quick turn over! this will show you if any oil has got in!
if so it will clear most out
clean plugs and maybe some carb cleaner needed! should do it i think!
ooo..is it a cab model?

so you think it is the too much oil that is built the pressure up to high or that it has gotten in the plugs?
