I've decided to take the long way to Scotland thus enjoying my way up there. Do the stuff tourists do. I always wanted to ride in Scotland but hey I'm sure the roads to there are great as well, that is if I manage to stay off the M's and stick to the A roads eh? Get a chance to go to the nice places, Stonehenge, Bath, Cardiff, Snowdonia, York, Lakes etc.

Zunkus,
You might consider entering Scotland on the A68 (Newcastle to Jedburgh) It's an absolutely brilliant road for bikes, just watch out for the blind crests! |

Baldyman, the A68 is defenitely on my list.
I've heard so much about this road, I've just got to ride it. You ever done it? Any good pubs along its path? |

The A68 is a great road, but heavily policed when you get north of the border.

I'm planning to be a good boy. Nothing dramatic. The wife will be on board and besides 60mph is good enough for me. I want to see more than photoshop motion blurs
