Well if you believe (some) of the guys at http://forum.svrider.com if you want loud, open the end up on the standard, beat the silencer out with a hammer and put the end back on. Pretty it most certainly aint but cheap and diry yes. Might give it a go after getting a slip-on, just to see what its like...
Although im not 100% sure the uk exhaust is the same, but looks to be.

By far the loudest pipe i have heard on any Sv are the carbon can company race pipes with baffle removed!

Thats what's on mine and it makes it sound better than the ducati's, just my humble oppinion though.

i had an '88 honda hawk gt.. with a full super trapp exhaust. my sv is louder with it's scorpion slip on.
