In South Africa, a beer-in-hand is customary - NAY! - a prerequisite to working on any type of machine / car / bike / light bulb / etc.

You're right, could've called that better- mostly realyl fast wear's caused by something like the long bolt under the seat on a curvy, I'd call that penetration damage not rubbing. I was thinking more of the rub spots around the headstock.
