I'd be interested to hear if there's anyhing else this could be apart from sticky choke cable. My bike (curvy K1) seems to run fine but about a week ago when I started it one day it made a massive bang (as PatrickUK says, like a backfire). It was like someone had shoved a potato in the exhaust!

Seems to be running ok, plenty of oil in and its not burning any / much. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Matt

Stick the old plugs back in, you could have just been unlucky with the new set? I have had faulty new plugs before. At least it will eliminate them from the equation (I presume you replaced just because they were old rather than faulty??)

Might have been in your case? But PatrickUK might have a duff plug, I have had duff plugs from new before now.

PatrickUK plug/s may have been ok at new, but at 3k miles it may have died!?!?!? (I have had plugs last forever and some die real quick). Its an easy thing to swap/rule out.
