Standard Life floated earlier this year at 230 (IIRC) with a discounted buy option (218?) if you decided to exercise it. They're currently listed at 284, which is a gain of nearly 24%, and if you hold them for 12months you get another 5% issued free. Could make a nice gain after 12 months, but there again things go down as well as up. I'm holding mine. (Oooer Matron  )

you sound like a gambling man, why not sell, and get some premium bonds ?
its like a gamble, but without losing anything. tax free too
