if you look further down the page you can see the door mine, pretty easy to put on with a bit of string and they are safe, you would know when they got in the garage and the bang will scare the s**t out of them believe me its pretty loud
Put them at head height right next to the door as they go in and you may well temporarily deafen the little scrotes, too.

I like the sound of those! Slightly less illegal than the shogun I was planning to rig up just behind the door.

Just need to remember to switch it off when you go in.

Homebase/Ebay do a remote sensor alarm you fix into the inside roof of your garage for £20 - may also be worth putting in.

No reason (well, aside from legal/safety ones...) that you can't put proper shortgun cartridges (or rock salt ones, if you're a bit less malicious) in them instead of blanks.

Just be sure to put something solid between them and your bike.

i'd kip in the garage for a few nights on the off chance that they come back! - just remember though, they obviously knew you had a bike in their, which makes me question your neighbours.

The only way to secure the garage was to seal it as the door is really fecked, I did think about sealing the bike in there but the bus to work would be a nightmare. It was three kids according to one of the neighbours and the police said three kids had robbed a sat nav from a car a few roads down from mine so I recon it was an opportunist thing (well I hope it was) . Good news is the new door will be much better than the old door security wise.

wouldnt bother telling them, if anything happened to it, you can just say they broke in and you'd have plenty of evidence to show them from that photo. also its where its kpet the majority of the time that they are insuring on.

My bike is not insured if I leave it out at night. So I would deffo tell the insurance. Which would you prefer, a small premium hike or a nicked bike and no payout?
