Bad luck, mate. Hope it's just cosmetic damage and you're not too badly injured.

Update:

Just heard back from the garage no damage other than the stuff I'd spotted, so no massive bills. A shade over £300 including labour and they reckon it'll be fixed by tomorrow (bits being delivered overnight- Wow Pete Hammond's in Cirencester seem to have a much better relationship with Suzuki parts than my local dealer! )

Coupled with £350 of leathers (I've got spare winter gloves), this makes for a fairly hefty bill (Just under £700), but I suppose, like the injuries to myself, this could of been much worse.

Fingers crossed that my appraisal on Friday goes well and I don't starve next month.
Boss is v. understanding and has agreed to give me first call on any OT.

Sorry to read about your off mate- nasty stuff. Glad it's all worked out reasonably well though. Slippery surface?.....Perhaps you encountered the sticky grit mentioned elsewhere?

Didn't stop the other stuff, though ;p

edit: oh, and bad luck and all that stuff, you can tell I didn't read the post properly, can't you.
Weirder - Mrs W and I had a bit of a row last night, and we never fight. Something about the night before Valentines?

IndyPhoto - sorry to hear about your off. I'd have skipped work if I hadn't slept well enough to ride. In fact, I did today due to bad back pain that meant that I couldn't lie down last night.

Unfortunately I see that quite a few Orgers had had "offs" recently - for a variety of reasons. It puzzles me that I see that they beg steal buy and borrow bits from friends and fellow orgers to get back on the road again. We all pay for insurance cover dont we ? Well, unless we're third party (which IMHO is not worth the paper its written on) shouldn't our misfortune be our insurers problem ?
If I had an Off - I wouldn't be contacting e bay - I'd be wanting to know what MY INSURERS were going to do about it
