Chiclids are a bit too fussy for me. Probably get an angel fish to "prune" then take back to fish shop each time they get too big as it's only a 2 foot tank.

Currently got about 20-30 fry who have somehow made it to semi-maturity seems there's nothing agressive enough in the tank to keep the numbers to a manageable level. The platties give it a go but do not seem sufficiently comitted to the task.

At this rate I'll have a two foot cube solid block of guppies in the next six months so need to introduce some controls. Don't really want to do away with them entirely as they are pretty much bullet proof and with a two year old banging on the glass reselience is an important character trait.

Free to good homes. Got some ready to go now and will have a few more in a month or so as they are too small to transport at the moment. You after them as "pets" or "food for larger pets" ?

For some reason they all look like females at the moment but it may just be they are too young to be told apart. Or some are cross dressing males.

These do need a "tropical" setup with water at 21-26 degrees. One of Falc's earlier posts suggested you kept them in an unheated tank previously. I do take the "good home" bit seriously so need to know they'll be looked after.

Should be able to take them to Ely or Links (work/snow storms permitting) if you're going this week.

We have a tropical tank Mark, don't worry

They all look like females when they are young, its just the species. But yer we are happy to take some little fries off your hands now if you dont mind. We will have a pub meet this week around this area so prolly Ely or the likes.

Just want them as pets to boost the numbers in the tank at the moment.
