Or pointys rust more than the original and best models?

The VTR looks well dated, that single headlight looks well old innit.
i think you is right razor the pointy does seem to be made cheaper.

So I dunno. Maybe a VTR after all. The SV thou leaves me cold. But that crappy VTR tank range????

Glad I'm not in this quandry.
To be fair, the root of the Falco's problem was the starter switch and the silly small battery. I beefed up the amps and then took the starter switch apart and gave a good clean and it was fine.

But... I only had it for a few weeks after that, as a philips screwdriver slipping across my knuckles at 6:15 on a frosty morning while taking the starter switch apart was enough for me to put a deposit on the Gixxer that day (and I hadn't even ridden one at that point!). I'd had enough of it.

If you loves twins, want a comfortable bike and can live with a bit of a liability (I mean reliability) problem then you'll probably love it. The lights are amazingly bright, and a couple of good cans make a hell of a noise

I used to call mine "Very"... Cause it was very loud, very fast and very shiney .

Whats with all this about the VTR having a crappy mpg? Anyone who has a big v-twin will tell you that none of them will give you more than 110 miles to the tank. If they do, they're a liar.

I wouldn't say I'm a conservative rider and I can eke my fuel out to give around 100 miles to a tank.

Just lay off the VTR bashing. They may be dated but, jeez, are they ever bloody lively!!!

going to keep the sv650 for another year , as a loaner had a T reg cb500 & I had a lot of fun on this , after the service the sv650 feels great (esp after the cb500) , I give changing another thought next year !

Still like the firestorm though !

Cheers Steve
