In that case, honesty is the best policy. When they ask "So what do you know about our company?" An answer along the lines of:
"Sorry, but pretty much nothing, I tried finding you on the internet without any luck, and the recruitment agency haven't really told me much, can you explain basically what you do & what projects you've been involved with recently?"

Try to never JUST answer a question, ask one of them at the same time. It'll help to put them on the back foot a little more, and they'll only respect you for wanting to enquire

Dont forget you are interviewing them as well, you need to be certain that what they are offering is worth your while moving to their firm. Good luck again

Good luck.

I've been on the other side of the table today doing telephone interviews. Its hard work from both sides, although slightly more fun for the interviewer.

well, i got out of work on time enuff to get there ok, found the building (not numbered) and parked my car... the car park wouldnt let me in, so i had to park in a permit area with the threat of being clamped.. that didnt help my nerves...

eventually made it in to discover its an architectural practice... not what i had been told if i remember correctly.. (i dont wan tto work for an architect)
The interview went ok but i don think im what there after and i dont think its the right company for me...
But it was pleasant enuff and was in my mind good interview practice.
Pleasentries over with i left... to find my car clamped with a £95 release fee...

the guy was completley un sympathetic to the fact that i couldnt get in the car park because it was shut!

So £95 poorer... seething because they sent me for an interview at an architectural practice and then this i paid my money whitch i had to walk 15 minutes to get because they didnt carry chip n pin machines...

so i made it home and drowned my sorrows with a couple of drinks and some junk food... im still too ****ed off to sleep.

on the plus side i have 2 more interviews next week with positions that I think will suit me better!!

bad things come in threes,... please let friday be good to me... otherwise ill give up and become a hermit...

grrrrrrrrrrr

id ride my bike if i thoguth it woudl help but ther third thing would be me decking it...

im sure theres steam coming from my ears

I expected tails of the interview....but that was much much worse! What a bummer! £95 down is grim, life is a pain in the ar*e at times. At least you got more interviews to look forward (!) too

At least it wasn't raining ...

Like I said, you have to watch out for agents - it costs them nothing to waste other people's time, and they might get a commission, so they put you forward for anything.

On the plus side, it is good interview practice. It usually takes a couple of goes to get the hang of them again.

I don't suppose you could claim the ticket on expenses? Maybe a slim chance. I'm sure they would've paid a train ticket for that amount.
