Sorry guys I should have said, I think one of them is starting to weep a bit, or at least I saw some oil on one leg the other day.

As its done 16k I thought I'd replace them just in case as I'm in there anyway.

Academic now as I've decided to have some mates over for a bbq and drink icy cold beer instead anyway!

I didn't realise that. So when I come to change my springs I can forget about the oil seals? Mine has only done about 10k anyway so they are prob OK - no leaks at all.

Yup, they'll be fine. Change the oil, mind, you can do it without but it's a bit of a wasted opportunity...

Still not done this yet. I might try and fit it in today. Approx how long would you allow to do this?

Just wanted to check, are we talking about the oil seals, or dust seals (or both)?

I take it that it's fine not to replace dust seals (Mr Haynes makes no mention of it)?

While I had mine apart I did both. Be a bit of a p*sser to do the oil seals and then a month or so later take it all apart again to to the dust seals..

I reckon it took me 3 hrs to to the first fork leg and then once I had worked out how to get it apart and put it back again, about an hour to do the 2nd fork leg.
