They don't make you tape over at all events, even though it may be advisable.

At the four trackdays I've been to (Zolder, Lydden, Croix en Ternois and Cadwell) I've never been told that I had to tape up or remove anything, and have just ridden the bike as is.

The main thing is to relax and have fun.

Got my joining instructions yesterday. They do suggest you do something with your mirrors.

I'd tape 'em up then, always useful to leave in place as added crash protection/bungs in case the worst comes to the worst....
