Something to be aware of when bleeding 'top down', which screwed me up for ages: unless you have have positive pressure in the system all the time, air will leak in *around* the bleed nipple and appear in your bleed hose as bubbles. You will then think you've still got air in the system. To counter this, with the nipple *closed*, pump the lever several times, hold it tight, open the nipple, close it again and only then, release the lever.

Oh, and a big syringe is very useful.

New lines have been successfully fitted.
It is quite a messy job.
