blipping will not take you long to master, I would imagine that 90% of people do it on bigger bikes so its not specific to the SV. Vtwins (engine configeration of the SV) do tend ot have harder engine breaking than inline 4's (like Gixers and Ninjas and the like)

Congratulations of passing your test.
![]() Dont let all this talk of engine breaking and blipping the throttle scare you. Just take it easy and get used to your bike, dont expect too much of yourself too soon, it takes a while to get the hang of things and dont ride beyond your capabilities. Enjoy your bike ![]() |

Welcome to the ORG!
Once you get used to the engine breaking you will know when to expect it. I scared the life out of me first time (before I joined the org), then I found out what it is and how to deal with it. Now I use it to my advantage, I never blip, but that's just because I like the engine braking. Oh yeah and I've only been driving since Nov last year and forget. As I am sure you will have seen this place is full of really nice (helpful) people. I honestly don't know where I would've been without it. One more thing ENJOY! |

Seat cowl - Suzuki Dealer £42, be careful of Ebay things sometimes seem to go for more than they are worth. So always check the OEM stuff prices first.
I was lucky and got my hugger off of here, so always try the for sale section here too. Just to add to you shopping list - bar ends saves snapping your levers or whatever if you drop it. I bought R&G's they look godd and are sturdy. |
