I'd like to know this too....i've just replaced my horrid Metzlers for Avon storms and they're super duper, haven't cornered like this for 6 months!!!
But what i want to know is.. do they over inflate them when they replace them?? compared to 'recommended' psi,
I'm rubbish with tyres anyway-always get someone else to check them, cause i'm a big girls blouse and think I might blow em up or something, or do what my mate did and deflate then!!!

I have been trying to find a pump, compresser that I can plug into the mains just something like the you use in the car. It would be much easier to do it in the garage than having to use the car one do it. Also my car isn't the most reliable one to se as the battery in it tends to go flat every few weeks, sigh.

Do you know what your mate did? Perhaps he put them down to his 'favourite' pressures with no regard to the tyres, the bike or who is riding it.

If you are using Avons, the pressure is 36 / 42. That is published on their website. You might also want to read this from the FAQ section of the main site.

Always amazes me the number of folks who think thier favourite number for tyre pressures is better than the value given by the manufacturer of the bike and / or the tyre.

looks good through a little expnsive! May be snap on connectors for the pump unit and a 12dc supply in garage, that might work! Well at least I now know it can be done! Well all I have to now is run a live feed to the garage, await my idiot landlord to reply and say go ahead, but I just go and do it anyway, can't see where I am going in the dark sigh, why are landlords idiots?
