Do you have any pics of the GPZ500 lever installed mate? I'd like a silver one on mine if i can find one.

Do the SV1000 adjustable clutch levers fit a naked SV650?
I've looked at GPZ ones but they're all black, I'm happy with my brake lever and don't want to end up with one silver and one black one. |

No as it says above, the clutches are different the SV Thou has a hydraulicly operated clutch where the 650 has a cable operated clutch so the mechanism at the clutch lever end is different so it wont work.

Ah OK. Well it's not so easy then to find an adjustable one, so maybe I need to do slacken the cable.

You can slacken the cable then put something between the clutch lever where the cable attaches and the boss bit that fixes to the bars and that way the clutch feels right and stays closer to the bars. I used a bit of old fuel line. worked a treat.
May not sound very clear, but basically the bit you need to put the spacer in is the bit that opens into a V when you pull the clutch in. Clear as mud but should make sense if you go have a look. Beware you willbe reducing the overall travel so if you over do it you may not disengage the clutch completely which can make finding first and neutral a bit on the interesting side.

How do other people get round the problem?
The ER-5s, GPZs are all either non-adjustable or black. Is buying Pazzo levers the only solution? Or is it worth contacting a kawasaki dealer and try and get a brand new adjustable clutch lever? But I won't be sure it will fit. What model bike should it be for? Why can't Suzuki supply one, sigh. |

Buy a used Hinckley Triumph Bonneville clutch mount and lever. They are silver and adjustable, and the SV cable will fit right in. You may have to modify the wiring for the clutch switch but that won't be difficult

Cable clutches are pretty interchangable so a long ebay session might be a good start (american ebay would be better, they helpfully all call the brackets the "perch" whereas over here we don't seem to have one standard term).
I bought a pazzo... It was cheap on ebay, but not for an SV, so I also bought the suitable GSXR mount, which came with a spare lever, alltogether it cost ?10 less than a new SV one! So if you do decide to go CRG/Pazzo don't feel restricted to the uncommon SV ones, a lot go by on ebay for other bikes. And it's very nice.
