got the price of replacements in already,
for the bar end and rear brake leaver it £60 all in, and the lower fairing mid section is £160 minus the sticker and the foam inserts, which i can use from the old one any how. so not to bad really!! , would have been the price of some new bungs if i had only botherd to fit the frame sliders on the front!! thats annoying. but hey you live and learn, so top tip FIT CRASH BUNGS peeps!!! they are worth their weight in gold so it would seem . talking od which anyone that can help me to fit mine much apriciated as i cant get the frame bolts un done. |

Those foam inserts are a complete bugger to get off. I gave up and bought a few sheets of acoustic foam from a car hifi installation place.

Unlucky!
Stalled on full steering lock in tight car park and dropped mine when it was new too (after 130 miles). Main R&G bungs did a superb job. Hero blob broke out of the peg which was a shame as the blob is only £5 but the thread on the peg snapped and that was £50! Lower belly pan on one side had a barely visible tiny scuff but I replaced it anyway and the bung was £25 to replace. Cost around £170 in total and I paid cash. Can't believe how little damage there was and it was all down to the main crash bungs. |

ohh trust me they are!! the ones to remove are the ones that hold the engine to the frame at the top, so are done up stupidly tight!!! and to make it worse they are allen key heads!! i thinki may just pay for a garage to fit them!! |

Dunno if this has been asked yet (my works PC is too slow to browse the whole thread) but what tyres did they fit on that 6R as standard?
The Jap made Dunlops on my 10R were terrible. When I first got the bike I felt that at least half a dozen times I nearly lost the front end and that was on clean, dry roads at low speeds and with hardly any lean angle. Almost like being on ice and what is more the tyres were warmed up. Fitted my new Pirellis and even from new and when cold I could corner like a loony. |
