If you turn the clever buttons off the screen is full of unexplained things, we've even seen the coast of Africa closing in from the south at sundown due to strange atmospheric conditions. Only once did we watch something curious, because there were two large targets moving in a linear fashion in our general direction at a low speed. They eventually became almost stationary then vanished. They were doubtful as aircraft as the didn't carry transponders, but since they didn't pose a hazard, even if they existed, thought little more of it.

How about you?

A believer?

A non-believer?

I think it would be pretty damned arrogant to assume we are the only intelligent species in the universe, though why any advanced race would want to visit this planet is beyond me[/quote]

To take a viewpoint from one of my fave movies:

If we are alone, then it's an awful waste of space.

I believe. But I won't just assign 'little green men' to anything I can't explain. There's still a hell of a lot we don't know as a species.

Well, short of any aliens actually popping up, saying hi and showing me 'round their ship, etc.

I think i believe. I cant see how there can be all those other planets and all that space and this planet be the only one with 'inteligent' life forms on it?!?

I have see lights in the sky that dart about in a non linear/star/satalite fashion and I cant explain it.

I have no idea. I would say yes I probably believe.

But if they can get so close why have they not popped in to say hello.

I wouldn't say it was too arrogant of us to assume we're the only ones out here, when you think about it, it's pretty much a fluke we're here in the first place. After all, a few more miles towards the sun and we'd all be incinnerated (sp) and a few more miles the other way and we'd freeze to death!

Yes there's thousands of stars and planets out there but it's not impossible to imagine that we are the only ones! However, it is pretty boring though.

Indeed tactcom7, Its all down to chance. But if the space people are right there are billions of galaxies and each gallaxy has million/billions of planets in it... Odd are good that there will be others. The chances are that they are SOOOOOO far away we will never know. I mean another galaxy is SOOO far away its stupid to imagine us ever comming into contact with each other.

Here is a bit of useless info BUT in startrek they are still in our galaxy

UFO = Unidentified Flying Object. I can only just recognise a EuroFighter when it's in the sky, so most things to me are Unidentified.

Aliens? Well, my dad is an official alien, and has paperwork to prove it! (he emmigrated to US).

Now, extraterrestial life? As posted above, we'd be pretty narrow minded (and arrogant) to think that life outside of Earth's atmosphere didn't exist, it's just a question of at what level life exists.

Certainly bacterial life exists somewhere, just we haven't found it yet (that I know of).

More complex life, quite possibly, and I'm open to the possibility. How do you define "life" anyway? Some crystals exhibit characteristics that could be interpreted as "life."

Lissa et al (those that believe), you may be interested enough to research the Nephilim. Research it in enough depth, and you'll link it to religion, and ET's.
