I have two covers at the moment, the MotoGP outdoor cover (got it for free) and an Oxford outdoor cover. If you fasten them at the bottom it stops them from blowing off or blowing over the bike (wind does not get up underneath and turn them into sails). For added security for bikes out of wind protection, try wedging a piece of wood on the right hand side as another sort of side stand. This will stop the bike from wobbling.
