Yay!

I did the Fleet bends yesterday. It was kneedown-tastic. Also went for a jaunt along the 339 to basingstoke. On my way back got overtaken by soem R1 weekend warriors. I kept up at first but when they started taking blind bends at nearly a tonne I let them go. I like breathing see. I must be getting old.

The FAB Few. (Fleet and Blackwater) We can meet at the Ely or Oatsheaf alternating to reduce unnecessary travel across our megre empire. We can poke fun at the TVAM and GM folks who will read all our stuff anyway.

And which bit do you call the Fleet bends? Minley Hill with all the down-hill adverse camber gravelly bends? In which case you are truly hard-core sir.

Umm, maybe not. Go from Minley Road roundabout upto the roundabout at Elvetham Heath then rinse and repeat in reverse. Also once I got into Basingtoke on my other ride I turned right where we went for that ride (towards Upton Grey), lots of gravelly, single track roads with bumps and jumps but was fun. Why is there is always huge piles of gravel but only on the corners??? Grrr!

i'd be up for the Ely or the oatsheaf once in a while as i agree with Dan the petrol to guildford every week could be used somewhere else.

I got wet and saw rather a lot of lightning, so made the journey back in my vented jacket interesting and a tad damp.
