I'd imagine soft ones are way comfier for me as a pillion. I'm generally quite clumsy so I'd be far more comfortable knowing I'm not gonna damage myself or the panniers by kicking them accidentally or whatever.

Generally she's very good on my bike. As no human foot could make it look worse.

I've got the oxford first time sports panniers, they attach under the pillion seat with straps, and are dead easy to take on and off. Also, they fit my sv perfectly and come with neat little rain covers.

I also have a kriega tailpack which is great kit, and I can add that one too.
