Just been out tinkering, I ordered one of those brake levers yesterday, cheers. Just had a better look at the bike as the weather's nice.

I'm also bidding on a tank at the moment.

Took the faring off, it's in a worse state than I thought, not a disaster, but it is cracked a little and one of the mounts is squished. Might need to get another... I'm struggling to find one, am I missing the point, or should I be looking for an alternative styled faring kit to fit..(some of them look sooo beautiful) There's a lack of replica or indeed original sv650s K2 curvy front ends out there? (I'm after the right hand side) in blue ideally.

I also need a set of tyres, and the front wheel checking out along with the fork, although from what I can tell (without riding it) everything seems to be okay. It even starts, and nothing leaks!

thanks for the help so far... Much appreciated.

As I said, go up to PSG, he can make practically any damaged bodywork look like new.

I went round after my off in February...bikini fairing and LHS fairing were completely fooked. I actually managed to get some off eBay, however I went to see PSG and was really impressed by the work that he had done/was in the process of doing.

They're not far from MTC exhausts either, so if you're up this end, you could bag a decent can too!

Depending whereabouts you are in Liverpool, I could run you down there if you wanted.

No worries, I think the guy who runs it is called Paul, he was just putting the finishing touches to a track bike he was about to start racing and he had quite a few bikes there that he was working on. Spent a fair amount of time talking me through some of the work he was done and advising me on the best way to approach my repairs so seemed like a good bloke.

I've taken the faring off, so will take a trip up to the paint-shop when i can and see what they reckon. Thanks for the help so far.. It's been great.

I'm just left with one tiny challenge..

Got all the bits I need so far (as far as i can tell) - Just in need of a new indicator. The bike has flush-mount faring indicators (non-standard I think???) that a previous owner has fitted. I can't seem to source a replacment that matches, and is the same blue (or a close match).. (pic earlier up the thread)

Has anyone else tinkered and changed their indicators out? - I'm up for swapping the pair, was just after a nice match/recommendation.

Cheers team!

Deano.

I used bikeit mini arrow led indicators (for led indicators you'll need a flasher unit - they're cheap though, shop gave me mine free infact) look good. Althoguh would appreciate feedback from other forummers as to whether they're actually visible.

Hi, I'm after something flush-mount to go on the front faring, as it's already been retro-fitted once, I can't afford to get something smaller as I'll end up leaving a load (more ) holes in the faring.

I can get similar products online, but only in black... given they're only about £13, I may just get them and spray them up in blue to match....

Stupid Question: - Do they usually come in pairs? - I can't seem to figure it out?

Cheers,
Deano.

yeah they generally do come in pairs (never seen em sold singley!) Either pairs or full sets (4).

PS Check the legality of flush mounts (if it bothers you).
