Just to ***** it up a little more;
Not had an insurer quote me yest (had a lot of quotes) who insisted on it being fitted by a pro/dealer/factory etc. I've been getting more than a £0 discount

Had my bike for 3 weeks - Datatool System 3 is working fine. Parked on road, no false alarms, picked up a spare fob for £20 off fleabay and programmed it in myself. Only problem is it arming itself after 30 seconds - just have to be super gentle with fuel cap or keep turning it off.
Hoping that and a disklock will keep it safe ![]() |

for the acumen system, service mode is the same as diagnostic mode, you hold the arm button for a few seconds, the bike squeaks and it basically disables the alarm, then press the arm key again to come out of it.
Guessing from what you say about the datatool system that they operate in a similar manner |
