Glad to hear you're o.k and bike hopefully is not too badly damaged, it sounds to me like using the front brake when tipped over caused the bike to sit up, and then caught the bank or some gravel on the side of the road which made it fall on to the left hand side. Always use some back brake first when leant over, possibly wouldn't have needed front brake at all. hope all gets put back together soon.

Daryl.

Cheers Daryl, tbh as i have said in other posts, not 100% sure what happened, i am sure i didnt over brake, i can only think the braking i was doing contributed to a wheel slide on some slippy mud which had my skidded tyre mark on it, i think i must of tried to correct it and stood the bike up but it was too late.
Luckily wasnt going fast as it would have been different.
Keep trying to go through it so i could figure it out.
I have looked at my textiles which i had on yesterday, there isnt even dirt on them, no scratches, nothing.
My gloves had dirt on them and looks like the only thing, i havent a single bruise (yet), back doesnt ache today so been very lucky i think.

Sorry to hear 'bout your off mate...

Mind you, from your description it sounds very much like my off at the begining of the year - which would mean you were lucky; my leg is still nowhere close to what it used to be before the accident I've severed a nerve and now have no sensation in a part of my calf + quite a lot of bumps and bruising is still present 7 months after the off...

Hope you haven't twisted your yoke or bent the forks - in my case both were completely gone (£350 for a set of 2nd hand ones...)

Good luck with the repairs and don't beat yourself over the accident - unfortunately everyone makes mistakes!

Glad you're okay mate. Put it down to experience, it's all part of learning.

I came off on a left hander a few months after passing my test. I couldn't work out what I'd done but it was obvious that I locked the front wheel. Ouch.

Anyway that was a long time ago now and I learned from it, just as you will learn from this Shame about the bike though.
