We on about the silkolene stuff? pro-fuel system treatment? I wouldn't want to put that on my visor.

I gt better mpg on shell power and BP ulitmate. You could feel the difference on my KTM too. I dont think Shell and BP canmake the claims they do about it legally without the necessary data to back it up.

+1 too.

Switched as the weather started to get worse. I get marginally more miles out of a tank too, but maybe that's because I'm not on the choke as long? Bike seems to like it.

I used to use the diesel v-power in the landy I had, got more miles and less black smoke on the v-power.

Thumbs up Re: Shell V Power

I always run V power in the bike, V power in the wifes Cooper S and V powed Diesel in my SRI Corsa.

It does make a difference in the cars.

But never ran the bike on anything other than V power (or ultimate) so can tell. But for the price difference over such a small amount of fuel in the bike Im happy to pay the £1.20 - £1.50 extra for a full tank.

It is starting to get expensive now; I'm paying closer and closer to £15 for 13 litres of V-power every week that passes.

I may be forced to nab some IPA from the lab and add it to 95 RON in order to save money

I have tried both in the SV and haven't really noticed the difference at all! I only ever used to run my M3 on super but used to use Tesco / Sainsburys stuff. It used to run like crap on the normal stuff. VPower is now 12p a litre more expensive! There is no way the difference in performance compensates for the massive difference in price. As for the figures they quote you won't be surprised to find that they use the same method that car companies do to quote the unobtainable MPG advertised with all new car adverts!
