Which tyres? - Page 3 - SV650.org

I bought the bike with D220's on and the were fine whilst I was getting used to the bike.

Then had a couple of sets of D208's, alot more grippy but after I moved to a different tyre, I descovered it was the profile was a bit too flat for me and I had to work the bike abit harder in the corners.

Next a few sets of Pilot sports, loved the grip they gave and the turn in with a sharper profile than the D208's. Didn't like the life. The last rear I had only did 2500 miles.

I wanted a bit more life, so put on a set of BT021's. Hated them from the moment I turned a wheel. Life span was great, about 6000 untill I took them off, and they have kept there profile due to the dual compound, infact they are still on a shelf now with a good 1000 mile or so left in them (just incase of puncture)

I now have Pilot Power 2ct's. I love these tyres. I put them on before last years AR and the only time they have let go is when my scot oiler dumped oil all over the rear tyre. The rear is starting to flat spot now after 4500 miles. The grip is amazing. Ace in all road conditions IMO

I've got BT021s on at the moment- not that fond of them, tbh. Not even as good as the 020's I had on last. Gonna try Avon Storms next.
