Dropped it on its side 5 times this year for several stupid reasons (my first year riding). My favorite way of doing it is by stopping on a slight ramp with the front wheel turned a little and forgetting to put my foot down in time.. Usually followed by some acrobatics while I try to hold it (to no avail, as I'm not strong enough).
The best way to do it is by burning your right inside leg on the exhaust as you grip the bike out of some mislead instinct..

Dropped it once whilst doing an u-turn (the first time I actually rode after getting the bike + licence) and hit the kerb just a very little.. As it happens, I was doing it in front of a school at exactly the time of day when everyone goes home... I think I counted at least 30 persons that laughed their as*es off

Sitting by my KH250 in the summer, 1970 something on way to Matlock Bath, bike started to topple away from me, grabbed it by the nearest part, which was the offside downpipe. That hurt, and it still fell over anyway.

first time a u-turn on a slope tyres werent warm and the bike slide up the hill on some rubber on the road. my two mates were there to laugh and pick the bike off my leg
second time off roading the sv on a camp site (noone saw i got away with it) caught it to, kind of.
third time a few weeks ago black ice.
the last time was on the way from replacing the bars and head bearings from last off there was an incident with a Lexus cage driver on a dual carriageway where i need new bars and the bearings need checking and resetting because they move or some rubbish the garage said earlier on the phone. stupid off's i have had my fair share of for the next 3,4,5 years i should be able to get away with now.

I've dropped my SV by touching the front brake while turning left. I told the driver of the car coming the other way I was fine, then realised my foot was stuck under the bike and I couldnt' lift the darn thing...

Grabbing front brake on my SV when I should have known better. Can't say how much I enjoyed my week in hospital with a broken pelvis and blood pressure gone haywire

I got the front brake touch too.. Changing lanes, I checked my blind spot, when I looked back forward, big bus was braking hard.. Grabbed the front and didn't even have time to do anything else. I was down before I even knew (can anyone say "I need practice and new tyres"?)
A friend of mine was passing by and told me latter he thought "look at this guy falling on his ass... wait, I know him".. stopped and helped me get out of traffic's way
