CCT isn't really an issue, it's an annoyance. Like YC says, make a manual one, they're much better.

To give you a benchmark, I paid £1400 for a 1991 CBR600F with 20000ish miles on it. That was from a garage and a restrictor kit was fitted to it for me. What year is it?

BTW the 100bhp thing is fun too

Make sure to listen for that cam chain rattle (like grace says through the revs), would be a good bargaining tool.

My mates 1999 Sprint ST had 63,000 on it when he bought it - it needed all new swingarm bearings, fork seals and headstock bearings - but it did look like it had lead a hard life when he bought it - but then what did he expect for a 1999 Sprint ST for £1200 (and that was 2 years ago!)

well went to view it after the guy said it was a nice clean bike. got there (christ its coldout) and took a look. one of the crash bungs was worn down on one side, hugger smashed to bits and held together with silicone and scratches on the casing. now tbh it was minor stuff but after being quissed it turns out its a cat-d. So i left it. Lovely bike tho just need to find a good one.....

Good move. Its not about the mileage, its about condition and what the owner is like.If I was told it was nice and clean and found it was nasty and damaged(and a cat d)Id tell the seller where to go.
