for the figure of 8 the best advice i was given (just before i passed) was to move my ass to the side of the seat for the turn. turning right get your cheek of the right hand side of the seat and leftturn left cheek. it made the whole thing so much easier. also remember to keep the head up!

I also changed my instructer as the guy that was taking me before wasn't giving any feedback good, bad or indifferent. the other guy was calling me a **** and letting me know when i was doing good.

the road ride really was a doddle life savers and road possition. i was asked to stop about 6 times to ensure i could pull away safely. if theres anything you want to know about it just ask.

Passed Module 1 today, had to re-attempt the swerve manouver because I was 2 km/h below the required speed going through the speed trap. Nailed it on the second go though. Module 2 is on Thursday.

Thanks for the compliment on the bike Squirrel, as long as I get it fixed, & I pass my test on Thursday, I'll be taking up to your neck of the woods on Saturday, I feel like a trip to George Whites!
David, thanks for the advice, unfortunately I read your post after doing the Mod 2 test. It turned out ok though.

Just changed the battery this morning, so it starts now. The front brakes & rear sprocket need looking at though. I think the front calipers just need stripping down, cleaning up & re-assembling. The sprocket may be a lost cause though. I don't know about the valve clearances, I'll have to check with the previous owner.
Blue! YuK! Everyone knows black is besterist! Oh well at least its a curvy and not a Krytenmobile!

Good luck with the test and welcome too.

A nice looking example you have there, for a bike thats got some miles under it those forks look new.

Best of luck with your test.
This fella's good for advice/help but ignore ANYTHING he says about oil change intervals, or even just putting it in for that matter
