well i have bought my next bike at the parkers valuation, and the dealer has chucked in a datatag kit (fitted) also fitted a power socket and chucked in a set of soft luggage, and when i asked him to sort some marks on the fairing he said there wasn't enough money in the deal to respray them but they would look at them and do what they could.
also on the plus side, my took my sv as trade in at 500 more than parkers price and 370 more than a triumph dealer, so not too bad, after all parkers is what it says it is a guide, lots of things can make a bike worth more or less, but if your happy with the deal then

Buying from a dealer would normally give you some sort of warranty, which is re-assuring if you are not mechanically minded. If the bike you are buying is 100% and in mint condition with low mileage and full history you are going to pay a little bit extra.
There are bargains out there to be found but often entail traveling round a fair bit to view them and private sales usually are bought as seen with no recompense if you have serious trouble after a couple of months.
Some people are willing to take a chance, especially on a cheap purchase, but for anything over £1000 I would like to know what I am buying and not getting something that I am going to have to through money at to bring it up to scratch.
There is a lot of trash out there, some buy it,others pay the little bit extra for peace of mind, its your money so YOU take your choice.
N.B Nice bikes and they tend to hold their money so even at the asking price I don't think you are being robbed.
