I'm surprised you only managed to get one out of the four questions right then!

Well that's not strictly true is it...

1) was right
2) was right
3) granted wrong...
4) is debatable, I've been pulled by traffic and not been done for everything, just a quiet chat and the bare minimum fine.

You definitely got No. 2 wrong. There is a minimum distance for Vascar, I thought it was 1/10th of a mile but BluePete puts it at 0.125 and I will bow to him as I think he's more current than me on those. The minimum distance for a follow is 2/10ths at constant distance. Longer can be better, but not so far that you could be seen to be condoning it.

No.4 is a bit subjective. You're more likely to get done by a Traffic cop simply because he has the equipment to do you. Area cars very rarely have calibrated speedos or Vascar/Proveda fitted.

I don't want to get picky/awkward/patronising about detail, as it doesn't really bother me that much.

But,technicaly the question was whether police have to follow for a minimum of 3/4 mile, to which the answer was no.

It wasn't as such about vascar or the specific police minimum distance. I just went into a bit more detail from my experience with the system and similar ones.

Still reading it? I only just started! It is a stereotypical "needs a BASAT" thread though.

PS: Go to bed!
