Try your local plumbers merchants as they'll be cheaper there than B&Q, Screwfix etc

so with these pumps do I
1.install it near the tank at the top of the house, with the cold and hot input into the pump and then a increased pressure cold and warm output? 2.or is it installed near the shower iteself on the feed before going to the mixer? the first would boost the whole house i assume whilst the second would just boost the shower? |

You install by the cylinder and it will have its own supply so wont feed the whole house unless you want it too. It must have gravity fed hot and cold feed to the pump and make sure you have a big enough tank in the loft cos salamander ( from memory so need to check) recommend a minumum of 50 gallons for their 1.5bar pumps. There is more to fitting a pump than a lot of people realise, its not just the pump, its the tank, essex flange, seperate feed for the cold directly from the header tank or if the tank isnt big enough you need its own tank. I know from experience, they will wriggle out of warranties if all the criteria stated in the instructions are not met almost to the letter. The fitting prices quoted by someone previously is a bit low imo considering how much the materials are and the potential work involved. |

There could be a days work there so expect to pay £150+ just labour plus materials...
Pump £130 ish 1.5 bar or more if you want a bigger one obviously, Essex flange £20, Pipework and fittings £50 ish depending on distance from pump to shower Possible new tank £70-£100 Electrical hard to say but possibly £50 depending on nearest supply etc HTH |
